Sonny Do – U17 Gray Head Coach
Coach Sonny is the Club Director for CPVBC. He is JV Coach of the Ephrata High School Lady Mounts. He has been coaching Club Volleyball for several years. His teams have won several tournaments through the years with CPVBC. He has coached U15-U17 levels. He will be coaching the U17 Grey team this year.
Coach Sonny loves the game of volleyball and when he is not coaching his team you will often find him in the gym working with one of the other teams in our Club. He does a lot of work for the club behind the scenes.
Kristin Sipling – U17 Blue Head Coach
Kristen Sipling started coaching with CPVBC in 2022. She also is the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Alvernia University where she also played her collegiate career. During her four years with Alvernia, Sipling broke the career kills record (1,321), was a two-time MAC Commonwealth All-Conference honoree, and and All-American. During her senior season, Sipling earned the prestigious MAC Senior Scholar award for her achievements in the classroom and on the court. She also helped lead Alvernia to its first MAC Commonwealth playoff victory since joining the conference. Sipling graduated from Alvernia in 2017.
Mike Elliott – U16 Blue Head Coach
Coach Mike is Head Coach of the Ephrata High School Lady Mounts. He previously coached at Hempfield High School and was on staff for their last 2 State Championships in 2012 & 2013. Coach Mike was the founder of the CPVBC Club team in 2010 (then Black Knights). He has led teams to 1st place finishes at ECC, Irish Rumble, BeachFest, Presidents Cup and numerous AAU events. His overall club record is 447-167-19 matches and 897-431 sets.
He has an excellent track record of training players to move from Club Volleyball to Varsity roles in High School.
Wayne Perry – U16 Blue Assistant Coach
Coach Wayne was the head coach of Lebanon Valley College for 33 years, retiring from that position in 2021. During that time he earned Coach of the Year honors 5 times and led the team to 4 straight Championships. Coach Wayne is ranked in the Top 15 for wins in NCAA Division III. He reached the 600 win plateau during the 2016 season at LVC and currently sits at 672.
Coach Wayne’s was previously the Head Coach of the U17 Blue Team. He had success each seasons, finishing top 10 in the region in 2019. Coach Wayne will also be assisting Coach Mike & Coach Diana with the U15 & U16 Blue teams this year.
Diana Perry – U15 Blue Head Coach
Coach Diana started coaching career while in her senior year at Juniata College where she was a 4 year member of the women’s volleyball team. She knew she wanted to coach and with the help of a professor and then men’s club coach they started, ironically Central Penn Volleyball Club for area high school students where she coached a team comprised of juniors and seniors from high schools around the Huntingdon area. She began coaching at the college level after graduation and was the assistant at Messiah College for the 1988 & 89 seasons. She was the assistant coach at Lebanon Valley College and from 1991 until she retired , along with Wayne, at the end of the 2020-2021 academic year. She continues to play in both rec leagues and at the masters’ level at tournaments and USAV Nationals.
One of Coach Diana specialties is as a defensive instructor and she has the ability to bring out the best in all players to ensure they become well rounded.
Tim Evans – U14 Blue Head Coach
Coach Tim started coaching U14 Blue for CPVBC in 2017. He is currently Junior Varsity coach for Lampeter-Strasburg. He was head coach of the Lampeter-Strasburg Middle School 8th Grade Club Team for 5 years. Previously he gained experience as a volunteer assistant coach for the Lampeter-Strasburg High School Girls Volleyball team for 8 years.
Coach Tim has also spent time on the booster side of a High School Volleyball Program, serving as President for 3 years. During that time he worked to establish a Youth Volleyball Camp and provide the best opportunities possible for the High School Program. Coach Tim is dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of volleyball and helping his players improve their skills. Coach Tim’s team have consistently place in the gold or silver brackets at their tournaments.
